Carnival Sunshine Norfolk delay compensation has been confirmed after the ship’s one-day weather delay. The vessel will now dock Monday, October 13, in Norfolk, and the Bermuda cruise will be shortened by one day. Carnival Cruise Line has released full details on refunds and onboard credits for affected guests. Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald shared the final advisory confirming Monday’s arrival plan.

Final Arrival and Embarkation Details

Severe weather in the Chesapeake Bay area continues to affect the ship’s return to Norfolk.

  • Docking: Monday morning, October 13
  • Disembarkation: Guests from the prior cruise will disembark first
  • Embarkation: Guests should still arrive at their original Terminal Arrival Appointment time to check in
  • Itinerary: The Bermuda port call remains, but the sailing is reduced by one day

Compensation Package for Guests

Carnival will issue a full compensation package to guests booked on the October 12 sailing:

  • Cruise Fare: One-day pro-rated refund, returned to the original form of payment within about three weeks
  • Pre-Purchased Packages: One-day refund for beverage and Wi-Fi packages
  • Onboard Credit: $100 per stateroom, applied to Sail & Sign accounts

In the past, Carnival has typically offered similar compensation when itineraries are shortened due to weather.
