Carnival Dream Debark Delayed Nearly Two Hours in Galveston, Cause Unclear

I disembarked Carnival Dream this morning, and the process ran almost two hours late. Passengers were hearing two different explanations for the hold-up. Some said there was a medical emergency that paused luggage unloading. Others said the luggage zones were out of order. Zone 3 reportedly had bags from different zones, while many guests in groups 1 through 4 had no luggage waiting for them at all. That bottleneck slowed everything down at the port.
I was scheduled to get off at 9 a.m. and didn’t step outside until 10:40 a.m. Not a crisis, but not ideal when you’re trying to turn around and board another ship the same day. Or catch a flight with a tight window.
I’m now onboard Carnival Jubilee for a seven-day sailing out of Galveston. More Carnival updates and reports from this sailing coming soon.
